2018: Week 10

11th March 2018
So, this week... the weather has slowly improved over the week from the snow of last.

Monday was cold and wet, I decided to try a night shot over Ulverston from Birkrigg Common whilst Lachlan was in Beavers.

Tuesday was down to Lancashire for a crazy day of running about. I did like this photograph of the Oyster Catchers though.

Wednesday was waiting in for a phone engineer (who eventually diagnosed a very broken phone line), but I did get a shot of a wee stream near the house that has been on my list for a while.

Thursday I was heading up north, but the light over Coniston Water was absolutely stunning so I stopped off quick session at Oxen House Bay which came out really well.

Friday I was heading up to Carlisle through the Lakes and stopped off at a job and took a single frame through the car window which was more or less a throw away job... turned into one of the best received pictures I have put up in a long time (over 400 "likes" and counting on Facebook!

Back home with Dakota here for the weekend, but we were waiting for another telephone engineer all afternoon so we didn't get to do much. A rather nice shot of a Dunnock through the kitchen window was some compensation though.

(Although I did get to take Dakota for a hot chocolate whilst the boys were in for haircuts which was lovely)

Today has been the mad dash to Glasgow and back so I am utterly exhausted now! I stopped at Eleven Foot in the Lead Hills of Lanarkshire for a leg stretch on the way back and to get today's photograph though.

That's about it - this coming week we have another telephone engineer and generally South Lakes based for the next few days. We will see what the weekend brings! I really need to start on the bike again, I said that for this week too, but we have been lurgified with horrible head colds all week so it never happened!
