2018: Week 13

01st April 2018
It has been a busy old week!

Monday was a mad dash around the south lakes, with a late frost and still conditions Coniston Water was looking stunning.

Tuesday was another mad dash, this time up the west coast. I have been trying to photograph this old farmhouse for years though and finally got around to get a go as the light was soft.

Wednesday I was up to Ullswater and Penrith, again - great conditions. I went for a shot of my "old faithful" - an old shieling at the top of Woundale.

Thursday was a quieter day as the boys were only in school for the morning and then away down south for a few days. A quick photo of Roki was all I managed!

Friday we had a quietish one, I took Roki for a walk whilst waiting for friends to head down from Glasgow though... which he appreciated.

Saturday we went for a decent walk out in the Duddon Valley to blow some cobwebs out after a few beers the night before. I didn't notice the water drops from rain showers on the front element though so didn't get as many shots as I would have liked! A wee trip to the pub rounded off the day (and an excuse to try The Ship in Greenodd which was excellent!)

Today we are back to quiet - just grabbed a photo of a lamb for Easter on the way back.

We have another bank holiday tomorrow, then a few days sorting some stuff out around the place before Dakota comes at the end of the week for next week. Going to try and get some riding in (failed this last week), but beyond that it is recharge time!
