Sunshine on Leven

22nd April 2017
Well, it's not quite Leith is it!

We got out for a walk along the canal today, Lachlan rode his bike and Hamish pretty much ran the whole way. It was a nice reminder of just how scenic it is around here.

We are returning to normality on Monday, the holidays are all but done now and so back to work for me... although I am quite looking forward to getting out and about around the county and beyond again. The mountain bike will start coming out with me too and I am planning to make some inroads onto my much neglected health and fitness over the warmer months if I can!

We finished off with a nice "light" lunch at The Bay Horse - if you ever find yourself at Canal Foot in Ulverston and fancy something to eat, the hot Corned Beef sandwich they do is absolutely stunning! It is proper corned beef, not the premade stuff and is an entirely different thing.

Tomorrow I should probably get on with a little gardening if it isn't raining.

And in other news - Lachlan really impressed me on Friday at swimming. There was only one little girl in with him and, as a result, they had a lot of individual attention and both came away with a very impressive certificate!

100m/4 lengths! Pretty good for an (almost) 6 year old!
