2018: Week 19

16th May 2018
A bit of a late update for this week - since we are half way through the next one!

Had a great Bank Holiday weekend with some mountain biking and warmth - it was great!

Biggest ride of the year in the best weather of the year! It was 3 hours or so, a good few miles longer than anticipated and utterly exhausting, but it was FANTASTIC to be back out again! I need to do more of this, as well as the walking and mountaineering over the coming months in order to progress "The Plan".

The weather broke, I was on a big job that needed doing as soon as possible up the west coast and I got soaked! I took this on the way back over to the Duddon Valley to capture the wetness.

Finishing off the project from the last week and a half, well - more or less - there are a couple of bits left to tidy it up in a couple of weeks time.

I took this on the way back into Penny Bridge as the scene just made me smile!

Another mad and crazy busy day - I took nothing until late evening when I sneaked out to Bouth to photograph the bridge over Colton Beck which came out okay. It wasn't what I had planned, but the light wasn't ideal.

Sorting out packing and last minute bits and bobs, so a photo of Ed taken on the phone was all I managed!

Lachlan's birthday - 7 years old already! He had a Laser Quest party and loved it!

The whole day was spent travelling. And since we were chasing the sun the day never seemed to end!

Next week will be a mix of adventures, sad tasks and a very emotional day finishing off with another epic day of travel.

See you on the flip side.
