All Go!

28th January 2016
This year has been full-on already, and we haven't even got to the end of January yet! My mate "Long" Jon Lancashire popped up with my other good mate Kay (his good lady) for 10 days and set about demolishing the side shed attached to the house and rebuilt it as an open log store, chicken coop and shed (which bears an uncanny appearance to a Wild West Outhouse). I need to creosote the coop and we will be ready for chickens shortly thereafter! I also need to fill the log store, which given it's size may take some doing!

We are slowly settling into the new house - my office area and the living room are now, more or less, done so we will move onto the garage and spare room next. The boys are loving it, we are enjoying the peace and quiet (and easy parking) and the school run seems quicker than it was in town. It is also giving me a different perspective on old views since I am travelling in different directions and will start getting to know a slightly different "patch" a lot better - with the advantage of stunning scenery on my doorstep.

The weather hasn't been particularly kind however so I haven't had as much chance to get out as I would like... added to my ongoing disability which I can't wait to be sorted out (another story - I won't know what the procedure will be until I wake up!)

Otherwise we are slowly ironing out all the niggles and issues and getting set up for the future!

Here are a few photographs taken over the last few weeks though:

Finally... the boys enjoying the view over their new home!
