Another Wet One.

20th December 2012
Yes, today was wet and wild... I am hoping tomorrow is a little more conducive to doing something productive!

I found myself on the Cartmel Peninsula so popped in to Holker Hall as I was winding my way back to Ulverston. The deer park there can be fantastic for photography, but I have never tried it in the rain before! One benefit of the inclement weather was the lack of other people out and about so I had the place to myself!

I decided that this was a good excuse to give the Nikkor 300mm f4 a bit of exercise, so I popped that onto the D800E and set off in search of some of the heard. I had seen a couple of stages on the way into the park, but they were nowhere to be seen by the time I set off in pursuit. However a couple of does caught my eye, framed by a tree they were sheltering under from the weather. I took a couple of frames, but with the rain increasing in intensity and the wind starting to build strength I decided to call it a day and head for home.
