Back from Ireland

04th April 2013
What a trip that was - there was snow... lots of snow. Large parts of the inland part of Antrim were under a deep blanket of snow, as was much of Dumfries and Galloway which made getting to the ferry challenging in itself. Full marks to P&O though for putting us on a ferry after we missed the one we were supposed to be on, no questions asked.

Most of the first week was spent in Bushmills exploring the North Antrim coast. The inland area which I had hoped to get to was, unfortunately, burried under deep, drifting snow so the Glens were off the schedule.

Then it was off down to Antrim itself for the wedding of my good mate Marc and his fiancée Rebecca. A good night was had by all and we even managed to let our hair down when we got the wee ones down for the night.

Following the wedding we were off to Donegal to visit Stephen "Tooth", his wife Mary and a large menagerie of animals which kept Lachlan amused. A trip out was arranged for Easter Monday were we also got to catch up with Martin "Irishman" Flemming before heading back to Antrim and eventually the ferry home.

All in all, a good holiday, even if the weather was freezing cold!

Back to normality now, and caught up with Photo a Day! I will try and get the site updated in the next few days, but loads of images to process first!
