Bitterly Cold and Wasted

05th December 2012
Today has been one of those days that, really, has been a waste of time. I had a couple of jobs to attend to at the opposite end of the county, so off I set on the 180odd mile round trip to find that both were complete non-events.

The one silver lining to this cloud was that the weather was wonderful - at least in appearance! As soon as I got out the car I froze in the biting north wind.

I took this photograph on the way back south on Crosby Ravensworth Fell on the edge of the Pennines. It is a bleak yet beautiful part of the county and one that I really do need to get out and explore more.
