Bleak

08th January 2013
Yes, another day and the weather is still rubbish. We are supposed to be seeing a change in the next few days though so fingers crossed for something a little more wintery but bright!

I popped up Birkrigg Common this morning with Lachlan - it is an important place to me as it was where I went the evening after returning from Rutherglen Police Station where I had been informed in the morning that my 10 day old son was dead and about all the fallout from that (charges being brought against someone). Life fell to bits around me, so I headed out into the night to sit amongst the ancient remains on the common. The place is littered with ancient habitation and spiritual sites. That night it was enhanced by the appearance of the Northern Lights - they were very feint, but they were there. My ancestors would have seen it as my wee boy crossing Bifrost to join his predecessors in the halls of Valhalla. Whatever, it gave me a source of slight comfort on that first night.

Otherwise the day has been spent stripping software and documents from the defunct laptop and deregistering software that was on it so it can be reinstalled when the replacement arrives in a couple of weeks time. Then it was onto getting my head around Office 2010 and building some forms to make paperwork easier and more professional looking!

So a productive day. Kindof.
