Yes, it is true. A dry day finally arrived here in the Lakes. It wasn't stunning weather by any means - but not raining is a start!

The soft light this morning, diffused by the clouds, was rather nice though for an intimate view of the Duddon Valley. I shot this photograph as a 3 frame panoramic and stitched it together tonight to create the single image as seen below. I like how it has come out - it is very typical Lake District Autumn, capturing that feeling of mellowness that comes as we reach the final part of the year.

I am still holding back on my competition submissions, but will get those in probably within a week or 10 days. I will then close off the entries from this year and start working on ideas for 2013 - a year which I am looking forward to in so many ways. I want to push ahead with the photography projects that have been on the back burner for a while and hopefully find some exciting new opportunities along the way!
