End of Year

28th December 2017
That is pretty much 2017 done and dusted. It has been quite a 12 months with good and bad bits along the way. I am not sure if the good outweighs the bad or vice versa, but on balance I am looking forward to a new year with fresh plans.

So, rather than go over the last 12 months and everything that happened I am going to "look to the future" to paraphrase an 80's dance track penned by my big brother! Last year was dominated by finalising arrangements through courts and getting used to new schedules. This coming year hopefully all of that is behind us and we can start to concentrate on our own needs. 2018 is going to be the year of looking after us for a change! We will try and focus on making ourselves fitter, healthier and happier.

Best of all... we are going to go home! I haven't set foot on the island for 7 years so this summer I am taking Jen and the kids and we are all going for Orcadian adventures!

I am so looking forward to it!

Anyway - here are a few pictures from the holiday season. Merry Christmas to all, and all the best for 2018! I may get one more update in before the end of the year of my favourite pictures of the last 12 months.

It has been a brilliant family Christmas with my Dad and sister over for a huge feast on Christmas day, and plenty of fun and love all around. New Year is going to be great too, enhanced by Dakota joining us and, with a bit of luck, my sister's other half should be over with her too!

Life, love and happiness, what more could you ask for!
