Good Timing

10th September 2017
After that drive up to Glasgow and back I am so glad that the van decided to fail and the 4x4 was available earlier than anticipated. It was horrible out on the roads today with heavy rain, strong winds and general dark and moody. The pickup was just planted and confident the whole way up and back down... which was good as I was absolutely spent by the time we were out the other side of Hamilton heading south again.

Shall have to check the paperwork and see how long I am supposed to keep this one for, probably 3 years... which is no hardship really!

Great weekend though with loads of fun, adventures and a bit of Grandad time for Dakota too!

Dakota sneaked in for a cuddle with her Grandad when he sat down to watch the news after dropping my brother off for a wee run up to Glasgow and a chance to catch up with me before he has to disappear back to Antipodean lands. Good to have someone to talk to and keep me awake on that return journey too, I am not looking forward to the nights drawing further in I can tell you! May have to start staying over at friends at some stage (and perhaps hit some mountain bike trails on the way home the next day!)
