Hoad Monument

14th April 2013
Finally we made it up the monument this afternoon, the last time I was up there must have been the late 70's or very early 80's!

They have done a wonderful job of restoring the monument. We hadn't really planned on going up, we were just taking Jake for a walk whilst the little ones snoozed with their grandparents, but since it was open we went for it, and luckily I had the PEN in my pocket (it is such a handy camera for that!)

I am liking this wee camera, and am starting to like the little body-cap lens too! I think that a prime pancake lens may well be required though for the combination of pocketability and performance. It does make a decent companion system to the big Nikon though, and I am already thinking in terms of building the system over the coming years as a true complimentary set up with a few choice lenses and probably, eventually, a higher end Micro Four Thirds body (but for the £139 this one cost me I have absolutely no complaints!)
