Not Even Chips :-(

30th July 2013
Today these ulcers got worse - I had to force myself to eat chips as I was getting dizzy from lack of fuel (which is probably not ideal when driving). It hurt, but they were the softest option available so I had to go with it.

I think I am just utterly run down, which is why I am in such a mope. With a bit of a rest things will return to normal. So much of life is epic, and the other bits are easy enough to fix with a little effort (which basically means "get off my bum and do something productive").

Anyway, in a fit of doing something worthwhile I stopped off up "The Struggle" between Ambleside and Kirkstone this afternoon to investigate a possibility:

This is a scene that I want to work more, at a better time of day, and very probably in the autumn. The Lakes look their best in Autumn and Winter in my opinion - the verdant greens of Spring can look rather fine too, but the deep greens of summer just seem to soften the landscape too much.

Anyway - back to sorting my physique out. First job is to get some energy back, then it will be a combination of riding, running and hitting the floor exercises (oh yes, the Iron Body routine may have to be revisited, which may involve me getting my sorry arse back to Kung Fu of a Wednesday night).

Tomorrow though I think I am going to kick back, chill out and try to get some down time. I need it!
