Oh For a Holiday...

29th January 2015
This weather is getting to me, and an old shoulder injury is causing my much jip. I shouldn't complain though given my Dad had heart surgery last week... you know... it could be worse.

I can't recall the last time we were away and living it up... but which I mean... not being in a tent or a damp log cabin effect "caravan". It would be nice to enjoy a little luxury on a trip again some day! I suspect it will have to stay on hold for some years to come mind. So long as the wee ones get lots of adventures though... well... that's okay then!

So today's wet and wild picture:

Off on an early start tomorrow, so long as the roads are open! I have the joys of an amber alert from the Met Office for snow tonight, so we shall see! On the plus side, it may be utterly beautiful out in the early hours... although it would be even nicer if it was something I was getting paid for rather than just to observe and be seen to be doing so!

I was going to write something about the new OM-D that is coming out next month - the spec is starting to intrigue me with the sensor-shift technology boosting recorded images to 40MP. Combine that with the robust and yet small size of the camera, the high quality optics and the massively customisable system and it is looking a powerful tool for the wilderness photographer.

I just need to work out how to get one for free or to test!
