Red Dawn

10th December 2013
This morning I was greeted by a bright red sunrise - it was wonderful, and so very apt given today would have been my eldest boy's 5th birthday. It had me wondering (as ever) what he would have been up to today, coming to the end of his first term at Primary School, and possibly getting ready for a Nativity Play.

This thought made me think of him, dressed as a sheep, and smile. For the first time thinking about him, I smiled. The tragic circumstances, unanswered questions and suspicions faded away for a brief moment, allowing me to celebrate his memory - albeit in a bittersweet moment. It is an improvement though.

Anyway - today's photograph:

I think I may do a charity sale one of these days in memory of the wee man.

I had hoped for a little alpenglow over the Lakes, but the low cloud scuppered that plan. Still, I rather like this one with the geese flying overhead - the hope of dawn as the year draws to it's close.

Tomorrow is Lancashire, lets see what it brings.
