Right... This Fitness Malarkey...

Things have not been working out so well of late with the getting fit thing, indeed it feels very much like a "lost summer" in terms of opportunity. But then again so much as been going on.

Anyway - after the holidays I am going to try and pick things up for the Autumn... there will be some work with the pub work to finish off, but once that is all out of the way I am going to get on with it. The "alternative" version of the C25K which we devised today may be the route I take - taking some time in the afternoons when on the way back from work to hit the trails (and some mountain biking in there when I can too, but half an hour running is going to be easier to fit in!). We are also trying some dietry changes with a veggie regime Monday - Thursday (perhaps with a bit of fish), and I am cutting artificial sweeteners right out to see if they are responsible for some of my odd ailments from the past year or so.

This weekend has been pretty good though - we have been out with the boys attempting to exhaust them both days. Hamish has got better at sleeping, which is awesome - the shift into his own "proper" bed has really helped I think. Here is hoping that this trend continues so we may have the energy to really hit the exercise.

So - here is hoping for a happy and healthy autumn and winter to round off this year!
