Spring Sunshine

03rd June 2013
It has been a long while coming, but we are finally seein some seasonal sunshine and feeling some warmth here in the Lakes! Over the past few days I have managed to start getting out on the mountain bike again, we have been to two country shows (Friday and Sunday) plus Jen had a 10k fell race on Saturday.

After a few hectic weeks and busy weekends it is looking like things may slow down a little for a short while at least, which I am looking forward to. Between all the running about and various childhood illness/teething pains and the associated lack of sleep that is ongoing I am just utterly shattered.

On the plus side though I may get out on the mountain bike a wee bit more over the next week, get some more interesting photographs (I still haven't been up to my favourite bluebell woods as yet this year, may do that on the way out Monday morning) and generally try and catch up on life a wee bit.

I can't remember where I am upto with the photo a day on this blog, they are up to date on Flickr where the project originated a few years back, but I will pick up from the 1st June and try to maintain my momentum again now.

The Country Show at Crooklands this weekend. Good, but not a patch on Holker that we went to on Friday.

I really need to find more to talk about on this blog. There is so much going on both in the world of photography and elsewhere I just don't know where to start at the moment.

In terms of Alpinist output, the photo course dry run has come to an end. There are a couple of tweaks I want to make now with a view of launching it very soon. I am also considering doing some stands at some of the shows in 2014 to get my work out there to a wider, local, audience.
